Borowicz Announces Grants for Fire, EMS Companies in Clinton, Union Counties

LOCK HAVEN – Twenty-five fire and emergency medical services (EMS) companies in the 76th Legislative District were collectively awarded more than $354,000 in funding support through the 2025-26 Pennsylvania Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program, Rep. Stephanie Borowicz (R-Clinton/Union) announced today.
“I am truly grateful for the unwavering dedication and hard work of our first responders. Their service is vital to keeping families and communities across the 76th District safe,” said Borowicz. “This funding enables these brave men and women to continue their life-saving mission.”
Projects eligible for funding include construction or renovation of a fire or ambulance company facility, purchase or repair of equipment, training, recruitment and retention, public education about fire safety, or reduction of existing debt.
The ongoing funding program was created by the General Assembly.

Clinton County
• Avis Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 – $12,220.36.
• Beech Creek Blanchard Volunteer Fire Company (EMS) – $15,000.
• Beech Creek Blanchard Volunteer Fire Company (Fire) – $13,250.94.
• Bucktail Medical Center – $15,000.
• Chapman Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 – $12,426.48.
• Citizens Hose Company No. 5 – $16,136.55.
• Citizens Hose Company No. 1 – $12,014.25.
• Dunnstown Fire Company – $13,457.05.
• Goodwill Hose Company Ambulance Association – $15,000.
• Goodwill Hose Company No. 3 – $12,426.48.
• Eastside Fire Rescue – $28,136.55.
• Haneyville Volunteer Fire Company – $12,014.25.
• Lamar Township Volunteer Fire Company – $11,015.
• Lock Haven Emergency Medical Service – $15,000.
• Nittany Valley Volunteer Fire Company – $13,044.82.
• Renovo Fire Department (EMS) – $15,000.
• Renovo Fire Department (Fire) – $12,354.
• Sugar Valley Community Volunteer Fire Company Inc. – $12,014.25.
• Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Company – $12,426.48.
• Woolrich Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 – $12,838.71.
Union County
• Mifflinburg Hose Company No. 1 – $15,724.32.
• Union County West End Ambulance and Rescue Association – $14,000.
• Union County West End Fire Company – $13,869.28.
• William Cameron Engine Company (EMS) – $15,000.
• William Cameron Engine Company (Fire) – $15,105.98.
The program is administered by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency with the application process handled through the Office of the State Fire Commissioner (OSFC). All companies that apply and meet requirements outlined by OSFC receive funding. Companies must file a grant agreement with OSFC to receive their grants.
